This article is part 1 of 5 in a short series, which has been put together to show you how build massive amounts of leverage into your Network Marketing campaign, regardless of whether you are building your Network Marketing business Online, or using traditional techniques. As any successful Entrepreneur will tell you, the key to achieving financial freedom in any business is by leveraging your personal time and efforts, putting systems or people to work for you.
In this first article you will learn the importance of setting meaningful goals for your business, by truly understanding the financial and lifestyle benefits of building a Network Marketing business, as well as being able to explain them to others!
In order to achieve any outcome it is important to set small goals, which will move you in the direction of your bigger goals, but before you can do any of this, you need to make yourself aware of what is truly possible in your business. Too many people come into Network Marketing with misconceptions about what is possible and what it takes to succeed and this can later lead to frustration, or even disappointment further down the road.
When setting your goals you must to be absolutely clear on the benefits of owning a Network Marketing business. Not only that, your knowledge must be such that you can explain the benefits to others in a way that they can understand. As an example, how many of the prospects that you talk to really understand the differences between being an employee and being a business owner? Without being aware of this, can you blame anyone for asking questions about exactly how much money they will get paid? How can you encourage them to consider the benefits to their financial situation and their lifestyle, if you are not able to explain them clearly?
As another example, if you were able to clearly explain why direct sales and Network Marketing are able to capitalise on current industry trends and why many Network Marketing companies have not been affected by the economic downturn, then do you think that you would be able to generate greater interest in your opportunity? Especially in times of economic change and uncertainty!
To tie this back in with goal setting, your goals will reflect your own understanding of the industry and your business. If your goal is to be financially free then your preceding goal would have to relate to earning sufficient income from your Network Marketing business to quit your day job forever! I am not suggesting that this should be your objective, but your intermediate goals must reflect the ideal future outcome. If you don’t know what the benefits of owning a business rather than being an employee are, then you will not be sufficiently motivated to achieve this initial goal. Also, you will not be able to demonstrate enthusiasm to your prospects and won’t be able to encourage them to desire similar things.
I hope that this highlights the importance of building on your knowledge of business and Network Marketing, as well as encouraging you to think about your own goals and aspirations. In part 2, we will aim to develop your existing knowledge of the direct sales and Network Marketing industries, so that you can share what you are now learning with your prospects.
