Along family games , local , national and international tournaments are often held.Family games are still widely played by many people who don’t know that the game has since gone professional. Playing games this way is due to the fact many have not been exposed to the game as a high performance sport. Where the game is played in organized leagues and tournaments , games are played in manicured pitches. The same can’t be said of garden games where grass is not necessarily trimmed. Family games are not guided by the same rules as in competitive games. Croquet set played in competitions has its own set of rules , incorporated with time. Croquet’s administration is overseen by an international body mandated with its running and it works with the games associations worldwide.
